Radio Etiquette
Radio Communication will be used most if not all the time during your career within LCSO
With this in mind every LEO is expected to demonstrate proficiency and professionalism at all times.
10 Codes and plain speech may be used providing radio traffic is short and concise.
When communicating with another LEO you should use the ‘Hey you, it's me’ technique’.
Deputies should always make themself available for radio contact at any point during their on-duty time and should try their best to notify other units if they are changing radio channels or going off radio for a period.
Radio Communications must always be short, concise but contain relative detail.
