# Subdivision Process

Within the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office we have numerous certifications that can be obtained by anyone who is a Deputy+ for a minimum time of 2 weeks.

**The standard process for obtaining a certification will be as follows:**

* File a letter of Interest for one of the subdivisions.
  * HEAT
  * CANINE
  * AIR
  * MARINE
* A Division-Lead or Division-Instructor will reach out with an acception, or a denial.
  * Denials mean you may not re-apply to the subdivision for 2 weeks.
* Once your LOI has been accepted you may start your training for the subdivision in a ‘Probationary’ role.
