Transfer or Rehire

We recognise a change in career may be necessary at times, with that we allow officers to transfer to another LEO department if they request it or if an Officer/Deputy chooses to resign they can be rehired in the future.

Transfers:

To avoid loss of training time and resources we have a few restrictions in place:

  • You must have 30+ days as a ‘Patrol Operator’ before submitting a request.

  • You must have clearance from Command+ in your current and future department.

  • A LEO transfer request must be approved unless they are under an ongoing investigation or are currently serving a disciplinary.

    • If a LEO transfer request is denied they must be given a written reason along with a date of when they would be eligible.

Transferring Out:

  • You must contact a Department Lead via the Chain of Command explaining your intent to transfer where you will be notified on your eligibility to transfer.

    • If you are eligible you receive a ‘Approval to Transfer Form’

    • If you are not eligible you will receive written reasoning along with a date of eligibility.

Rehire:

  • You must have a clean criminal record.

  • You may need to go through retraining depending on the time passed since your resignation.

  • You must of resigned ‘in good standing’

  • You may not be rehired if your resignation was in excess of 2 months.
